Introduction
Hi! You are so very welcome to my 5 Day Strength Workout Series! I hope you enjoy it, let me know how you get on.
Each workout is 30 minutes long. Keep it slow and steady, go at a pace that you feel comfortable with and focus on winning your session. What I mean by that is, if you finish your workout and you feel amazing after it, you have won! Slow and steady is better than going so fast you feel bad.
If there’s an exercise you can’t do, don’t use it as a stick to beat yourself with, simply switch to one you enjoy or feel more comfortable doing. The same principle applies if you feel a niggle or pain anywhere… no big deal.. simply switch the exercise and keep moving! Get sweaty and enjoy your workout. Switch to low impact if the high impact exercises are too much.
Strength workouts are brilliant. They help build lean muscle in your body, which in turn gives you a high metabolism and helps you burn lots of fat at rest. They’re also fantastic for getting strong muscles and bones.
You can do all 5 in a week, or else aim to do 3 and get some walks under your belt too.
