How To Quit Counting Calories (and Years Of Frustration!), and Start Getting Brilliant Results!

The only thing that counting calories does for you is, is keep you focused on food, therefore, you don’t have to actually think about what the real problem may be.

Being obsessed with calories or Syns, in food, should be like a warning bell in your head. Something is causing you to become obsessed with  food.

You’re not working at fixing the deep problem, (actual problem), you’re solely focused on the surface problem. (not the actual problem)… and you’re never going to get sustainable results this way…you’re never going to actually, once and for all, FIX it.

In my ten years of empowering Galway women to lose weight, get fit, and feel great, it would be impossible not to become aware of patterns of behaviour. The more obsessed you are with food, the more likely you are to cycle with your weight, i.e gain and lose weight, over and over again.

Going around in circles has a really damaging effect on your self-esteem, it only compounds the problem, by making you feel like a failure. When in fact, it’s your strategy to weight loss and fitness that’s the problem, not you.

When your confidence takes a knock, you start to believe that nothing works for you, but that’s just simply not true, and you really know this, right?

You have the power within you, to change. You have the power within you to get out of the calorie-counting, Syn counting lifestyle (it’s so depressing, and you’re worth so much more than that), and start to get real, amazing, long-term results.

And what am I defining as ‘results’? Feeling amazing, with brilliant confidence and you’re fitting great in your clothes. Your healthy, fit, toned and you feel great. Thats my mission for all my clients at Inspire Fitness.

So how do you get there?

You get there by eating healthy, doing the right type of training that will get you real results, and by focusing on simple, daily habits that will change your whole approach.

Understanding what healthy eating is, and creating a good nutrition plan for yourself, that fits into your lifestyle, is key.

Allowing yourself to relax at weekends, but getting super focused on Monday to Friday is key.

Doing workouts that will have a postive effect on your metabolism, is so important, so that you don’t waste your time, or energy. (or worse, get frustrated and quit).

Side note: If you feel you gain weight quick quickly, this may be a good indicator that you’re doing ineffective exercise.)

Creating simple daily habits that over time, will transform your health, is the number one key to success, and that will empower you to move away from the fad diets, restriction diets, calorie-counting, meal replacements, and over all depressing, soul-less, dis-heartening weight loss crap out there.
